About Steve Mathes

Real estate runs in the family for Steve Mathes. After graduating from Tulane University in New Orleans, Steve began his career in commercial real estate alongside his father, Julian. His journey soon led him to Coldwell Banker Gundaker, where he transitioned to residential real estate. With over forty years of experience, Steve has had the privilege of guiding countless clients through the process of buying and selling homes.

 

A top-producing real estate agent with over $750+ million in closed sales, Steve is widely regarded as one of the best in the business. His accomplishments include being named to the St. Louis Business Journal’s Top Ten List, Ladue News’ Top Men in Real Estate, and earning prestigious designations such as the Graduate Real Estate Institute (GRI) and Certified Residential Specialist (CRS)—accolades that place him in the top 5% of real estate professionals nationwide.

 

Steve’s commitment to excellence and client satisfaction has set him apart throughout his distinguished career. Outside of work, he enjoys a strong family life with his wife of 46 years, Julie. Together, they have two sons: Andy, a 1999 graduate of John Burroughs School and a 2003 graduate of Emory University, who works in investment banking in Atlanta; and Joe, a 2005 graduate of John Burroughs School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Wisconsin. After graduating from law school in 2014, Joey joined Steve in the real estate business!
